LIEUTENANT COLONEL JACK C. SCHOFIELD

Lieutenant Colonel Jack C. Schofield is Commander, 99th Range Squadron, 99th Air Base Wing, Headquarters Air Warfare Center (AWFC), Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. He is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Nellis Range Complex--3.1 million acres of land and 12,000 square miles of airspace. He commands two detachments, Detachment 1 is responsible for the South Ranges and the Indian Springs Air Force Auxiliary Field; Detachment 2 is responsible for the North Ranges and the Tonopah Test Range Airfield. Lieutenant Colonel Schofield also holds the responsibility of ensuring operational and support matters are coordinated with MAJCOMs; the Departments of Defense, Energy, and Interior; as well as other federal, state, and local government agencies.

He entered the Air Force in 1975, gaining his commission as a Distinguished Graduate from Air Force Reserved Officer Training School (AFROTC).

Lieutenant Colonel Schofield is married to the former Melanie Grace of Sacramento, California and they have four children; Alana, Jake, Colton, and Mackenzie.
