LtCol. Lester W. Krushat
LtCol. Krushat was born on 15th February of 1926 in Harboor City, CA. He lived in Twentynine Palms, CA until 1943.
In March 1943, LtCol. Krushat enlisted in the US. Navy achieving the rating of Aviation Radioman First Class and became Radioman Gunner on Carrier based Torpedo Bombers. He discharged from the US. Navy in 1946.
After receiving his college degree, LtCol. Krushat entered the US. Air Force in 1949. He was commissioned as pilot from Class 49A on 25th February of 1949.
After his active duty career in the US. Air Force, LtCol. Krushat was teacher, Vice Principle at schools in California. Later, LtCol. Krusaht became mayor of Twentynine Palms, CA.
Today, LtCol. Krushat and his wife, Jane, reside in Huntingdon Beach, CA.

1949- 1951: F84D pilot at Hamilton Air Force Base
1951- 1952: F94A pilot at Larson Air Force Base
1952- 1953: F94B pilot at Kadena Air Base and Naha Air Base, Japan
1954- 1959: F94C & FD-89D pilot at Hamilton Air Force Base
1959- 1961: Exchange officer at RAF Hemswell, UK
1961- 1965: Headquaters 1st Strategic Aerospace Division ( Safety Office) at Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA. During this time LtCol. Krushat maintained his Instructor pilot status in T-33�s.
1965- 1968: F-4D pilot, Assistant Operations Officer, 10th Tactical Fighter Squadron, later, Commander, 81st Tactical Fighter Squadron, Hahn Air Base, Germany.
1968- 1969: F-4D pilot, Commander, 8th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Holloman Air Force Base, NM
1969: Medical retirement
