I enjoyed reading the history of your AP Class. In Cabot, AR we just this year added AP Chemistry with an initial class of 44 (in 2 periods. We also had to fight to get the program but as the teacher I have never had so much fun!

I took AP Chemistry last year ('98-'99) at Absegami and even though it was my toughest class, I learned so much and I loved it! On top of which, I had an awesome teacher (Mr. Allen) and my class had only 6 students, so it was really intimate. Even thoug I totally bombed the AP exam, I'm really glad I took this course. I encourage anyone pursuing a career involving science to take it. P.S. My Honors Chem teacher the year before (Mr. Dubas)was also one of my favorites. Hope you're enjoying retirement, Mr. Dubas.

Is there a list of objectives anywhere for AP Chem? I am frustrated with the college board's outline. I don't know the depth of understanding required. For example, under kinetics, the outline say "use of differential rate laws" does this mean that int grated rate laws are not on the test?

Cool Site for anyone taking the exam! I took AP Chem last year as a junior at Columbia High in Columbia, SC. I got a 5 with alot of help from the Chem Team Website, they got a whole pile of free-response stuff from way back to the 70s. You might wanna take some tips from their page if you haven't already, but u still have a really cool page!
