ALT Program

The purpose of the Approach & Landing Test (ALT) Program was to assess the Shuttle's capabilities.
These tests were carried out by two, two man crews consisting of: Fred Haise (CDR, FF-1, 3 & 5),
Gordon Fullerton (PLT, FF-1, 3 & 5), Joe Engle (CDR, FF-2 & 4), & Richard Truly (PLT, FF-2 & 4).
