1.  Understand the circumstances under which genetic testing is currently done, and state some ethical problems that could arise from the practice.
2.  Describe how the following entities could be influenced by the results of a gene test: the individual; his or her family; an insurance company; a future employer.
3.  Define the role of the Genetic Counselor in genetic testing.
4.  Be able to discuss biotechnology issues in a group without becoming angry or inflamatory.
5.  Explain the role of biotechnology in food production prior to the "genetic revolution."
6.  How is biotechnology used to change or modify the characteristics of foods, fibers, medications?
7.  Compare and contrast the way biotechnology was/is used before and after the advent of genetic engineering.
