Master thesis

The studies were carried out in the project ENV-45 "Water and nutrient fluxes as indicators for the stability of different landuse systems on the terra firme near Manaus" of Prof. Dr. W. Zech (University Bayreuth (Germany)) in cooperation with the Brazilian EMBRAPA-CPAA ("Empresa brasileira de pesquisa agropecuaria - Centro da pesquisa agroflorestal da Amazonia Occidental" - see satellite-photo to the left) near Manaus. The project forms part of the German/Brazilian BMBF/CNPq SHIFT-Program ("Studies on human impact on forests and floodplains in the tropics")
