Wild Geranium
(aka Cranesbill)

Geranium maculatum
This member of the Geranium family sports clusters of 2 to 5 rose-purple flowers, at the end of branches, atop a pair of deeply 5-lobed, hairy, leaves. Flowers are 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm) wide while the leaves measure 4 to 5 inches (10 to 12.5 cm). This species inhabits woods, thickets, and meadows and reaches heights from 1 to 2 feet (30 to 60 cm). Flowers bloom from April to June.
