This member of the Forget-me-not family bears blue, trumpet shaped flowers with pink buds. Flowers measure 3/4 to 1 inch (1.9 too 2.5 cm) long. Leaves are basal, alternate, oblong, pale, and untoothed. Leaves measure 2 to 8 inches (5 to 20 cm) long. Plants range in height from 1 to 2.5 feet (30 to 76 cm) and grow in shady alluvial ground and moist hillsides. Flowers bloom in April.
