Fleabane
(aka: White-top)

Erigeron strigosus
This highly common member of the Composite family sports 40-70 white, fine rays surrounding a yellow disk. The lanceolate leaves are untoothed or slightly toothed. A very closely related plant, Erigeron annus (Daisy Fleabane) is distinguised from this variety by having more leaves, being downier, and having leaves that are strongly toothed. The plant is a very common patron of fields, roadsides, and wasteland. Flowers bloom in July.
