Campsis radicans
This woody vine of the Bigonia family sports brilliant reddish-orange 3-inch (7.5-cm) long trumpet-shaped flowers with a 5-lobed corolla. The pinnately compound leaves are composed of 7 to 11 toothed leaflets that are ovate, with pointed tips. This vine is common in low thickets and woods and uses aerial rootlets from its stem for climbing. Flowers bloom from July to September.
