Attention Members:
Recently, the Winnipeg ACC Branch Council has received
numerous complaints regarding the Shift Managers' treatment of
employees. NavCanada touts a company within which every employee
can achieve a fulfilling work environment. Indeed, NavCanada's
own Code of Conduct document and PPC&R Program preach that
every employee is entitled to respect and professionalism. It has
become questionable as to whether NavCanada's own Management
force is complying with the company's "vision". As a
result of this, Kevin Wallace, Regional Director, has instructed
the Branch Executive to conduct an investigation into the conduct
of the Shift Managers.
Scott Roger, Vice Chairman, will spearhead this investigation
along with Dave Doerksen, Chairman, and Steve Molloy,
Secretary/Treasurer. If any member has been treated
unprofessionally by a Shift Manager, including harassment, racial
slurs, intimidation, abuse of authority, lack of respect, etc.,
then please forward your complaint, no matter how trivial, along
with as much information as possible, to any member of the Branch
Executive. Your information will be held in the strictest of
confidence.
The Branch Executive is looking for your help in making our
working conditions better. No employee should have to endure
unprofessional behavior of any kind from his or her Managers.
