============================================
*** Flightplanner update to version 4.0b ***
============================================

To use this update, you MUST have flightplanner version 4.0
installed on your system. The fixed bugs and improvements are
listed below.
This update 4.0b replaces flightplanner update 4.0a.

HOW TO UPDATE:
==============
- Copy or UnZip all files to a temporary setup-dir.
- Start Windows.
- Run UPDATE4B.EXE in the temporary setup dir.
- Follow the instructions on your screen.
- After installation, you can delete all files in the temporary
  setup directory.

After updating, there will be a new flightplanner group on your
system, but all previous links still will work.

Due to improved map functions, the map colors are reset to
default. If you have changed these map colors in version 4.0,
you will have to do these changes again to get back your
favorite map colors.

In the SETUP-GENERAL section, there is a new setting to select
your adventure APLC compiler. This makes it possible to use any
compiler, such as APLC32.EXE, as your favorite compiler. Check
the flightplanner manual or Help-file for more details about
this compiler.

I would like to say a special word of thanks to Peter Johnson for
compiling the flightplanner Help-file. Also I would like to thank
Paul Cooke and Russel Smith for creating the new aircraft files.
Last but not least I would like to thank Steve Halpern for some
great ideas concerning the black background when printing map
or approach, one of the fixed bugs.

I have received many requests for the flightplanner map service.
Now this update is finished, I plan to create many new maps. You
can expect new maps soon on my homepage.

SHOULD YOU REGISTER:
====================
No, flightplanner is still freeware. But if you like the
program, please send me a postcard from your home-town. It
would be great for me to know where flightplanner is being used.
Let's say this is your registration!
My home-address is at the end of this file.
