Alley near Silver Street There are lots of little alleys like this all over the town. This would have been a really nice photo if it had been developed properly.  I don't recommend the next day service offered in the chemists (where this was done).	A Clothier's House The clothiers were the merchants who sold the cloth produced by the weavers.  You can see the huge difference in the standard of living by comparing this house to the cottages below.
Newtown From Newtown to the top of the hill the houses are all terraced like this.  Athough this is the only row that has a road, all the others just have footpaths as can be seen here on the right.	Tory This is one of several rows of terraced houses on the hill.  I thought this was a particularly nicely composed shot with the post box in the wall.
The back of a cottage that I spotted through someones garden half way up Tory. I just thought it looked so pretty all overgrown like this that I had to take a photo.	The Bridge Tea Rooms This is an amazing little building.  The floor inside is as uneven as the roof and walls outside.  A good place to go for tea but it is quite expensive. (I think it was rubbish day when I took the photo, hence the bin bags in front)
Coppice Hill This is just past The Shambles (which I don't have a photo of). It is one of those little narrow roads that you always walk past and think 'I wonder what is up there?'. So up I wandered to find out......	The top of Coppice Hill The stone work on these houses has been cleaned which is why they look much newer than the buildings lower down the road (left).  If you look closely at the far building you can see some of the windows have been blocked off.  This was done widely in the 18th century (I think) when buildings were taxed by the number of windows.
The Witches Cottage This is the only thatched cottage in town therefore when we were growing up we always thought a witch lived there! It is located at the top of Market St.
