| Sylvia Batista Update Hello friends, Just wondered if you could provide us with some major praying. Could you please keep us in your thoughts on Feb 2 around 10:00a anyone that you know and are willing to provide us with prayers please let them know that we will be needing there help. Hello Jeff- Just got off the phone with mom concerning Sylvia, she has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and endotrimiosis (I don't know how to spell this) which is fairly common with ovarian cancer. She has an over enlarged Kidney, they removed one a long time ago, so they will need to be careful on what the doctors will give her. Chemo and radiation treatment is not an option, the doctors will need to find something else for her to take. She will be on heavy medications until her surgery date on Feb 2 at Desert Sams in Mesa at 10:00a. Mom, Dad, Guera and Nena are going to be helping her out driving the kids where they need to go and looking after them. I told mom that I am able to pick up the cost of her medical expenses i.e. prescriptions, deductions from her insurance and other medical expenses the insurance will not cover. Guera and Nena are going to help her by buying groceries, cooking lunch and dinner, mom will be with her in the mornings as well as Frank - and whenever he could get away from work. Mom and Dad will be paying for her apartment and my parents and I will be paying for the electricity and other misc. items. I'm planning on taking Feb 2 off to be with her and wondered if we can go see her this weekend? I need to call her as when it would be a good time to come over. What a week! It can only get better from here. I will be talking to the doctors with her to find out what type of medications she will have be on and what procedure they will be using to remove the ovarian cancer and treat the endotrimiosis. Mom and Dad are really sad about this, they are concern about the outcome, I did promise them that I will do my best in providing the best procedure possible. Love you, Patty Patricia Batista |

| January 22, 2001 Lord God, In the Holy precious name of Jesus, we come to you believing for Sylvia Batista. Lord, we know that you are not only the creator of this entire world, but you are the creator of mankind and inparticular, Sylvia Batista. We pray to the power that is called the resurrection (i.e., the very power to put back together) in behalf of Sylvia. Lord, if she does not yet acknowledge you in her prayers and belief systems, this is an opportunity for you to make yourself clearly known to her and the members of her family. Be glorified in Sylvia's malady, quicken her body and make it whole again, forgive her of her sins before you and cause both she and her family to cry out to you and to know that you are God and that you are their God. Father, we stand believing, in Jesus' name we pray, amen. |
