Thorvas & Dragon Tooth Glacier

Torvas & Dragons Tooth Glacier is home to Alistarr's fierce Northmen, who have
sailed the entire worlds oceans for both plunder and exploration. Eons ago, under
the leadership of the great Jarl Thorvald The Fist of Orlanth, the Northmen had sacked
towns and villages on every continent of the world.

Torvas is now broken up into many smaller Jarldoms, each Jarl has gained his territory by Right of Combat, and they keep it through Strength of Arms. There are no Female Jarls, but a Jarl's Women is a power unto herself, for in the Jarl's absence her word is law.

There are two major cities on Torvas, Thorvald's Keep is the largest. This massive city sits on the shore of Thorvald's Draught and is surrounded by massive stone walls. This city is ruled by Jarl-Lord Ragnarus Redbeard, he has ruled for twelve years, and will rule until he is defeated by a challenger. Redbeard has fought off over a thousand challengers in his time as Jarl-Lord. The population of Thorvald's Keep is unknown, but speculation puts it over 75,000.

The second city is Frunauth, and it is located at the mouth of the Myri river. This is a large port city which is mainly doing exporting of timber cut from the Brin'Guun forest. Frunauth is ruled by Jarl Scorauth the Sea Dragon, but because Scorauth is not such a good businessman he has hired an outsider to run the city for him. So the real leader of the city is a scholar named Dorann, who is a High Elf from Farlanth's city of Star Spire.

Thorvald's Draught is a huge glacier fed inland sea that supplies nearly all the fresh water to Thorvas, hot spring activity around its edges keeps most of the water liquid during the winter time.

There are three rivers that run from Thorvald's Draught, the first is the Jonik River. It is too shallow and has a rocky bottom so there are only small fishing boats traveling this river.

The main river is the Myri, which runs the center of Torvas, this river is wide and deep and is capable of allowing Sea Galleons to sail all the way up it to Thorvald's Keep.

The western river is the Black River, due to its many rapids only very small fishing boats are found on it.

Lake Myrial is a large lake that sits in the Brin'Guun forest, there are several towns on the lsland.

The Brin'Guun forest is the largest forest on all of Alistarr, and several Jarls have pledged their men to keep it free of chaos, so that its trees can be harvested for export.
