FARSEEING GLASSES These special glasses are made from two silver tubes set side by side with a pivot joint between the tubes so that different users can use them equally. Each tube has a glass lens at each end. This item is used as a focus for the spirit spell Farsee, and these glasses come in Farsee 2, 4 or 6. (They require no power from the user to activate, they seem to draw their magic power from the world itself.) They can be found in most major cities and are mostly used by ship captains and military scouts. Cost : Farsee 2 - 500 Lunar Farsee 4 - 1,000 Lunar Farsee 6 - 1,500 Lunar There is also a special version of these glasses that are made of gold, they come in the same types as the Silver glasses, but these have a special sorcerery matrix built into them. The user must expend a single MP to activate this matrix and it will allow the glasses to see the Ley Lines of the world that are in the range of the glasses. Cost - Special w/Farsee 2 - 2,000 Lunar Special w/Farsee 4 - 3,000 Lunar Special w/Farsee 6 - 4,000 Lunar MAGIC RINGS (Only 1 magic ring can be worn on each hand at a time) (90% of all magic rings have a 65% chance of fitting a characters size & 10% of them will magically resize to fit any size.) RING of BEAST SPEECH This is a wide metal ring with the Beast Rune engraved into it. The wearer must expend a single MP to activate it. It gives the wearer the Beast Speech skill equal to their INT. This skill may be increased as any normal skill so long as the ring is always worn. If the ring is removed the skill is lost and must be started over. RING of FIRE Made from red tinted gold with a Fire Rune engraved into it. Gives the wearer POW x 5 to resist all damage from any form of Normal Fire, or POW x 3 to resist all damage from Magical Fire, such as from an Elemental Sorcerer. A fumble from this roll will result in the wearer taking Double Damage. RING of PROTECTION The metal this ring is made from determines the level of Protection it gives the wearer (same as if using the spirit spell Protection). The wearer must expend 1MP to activate the ring and it will remain active for 10 combat rounds. (If the ring is activated more then 5 times in a single day it will require +1MP per each successive use and it also has a 25% chance of self-destructing. Bronze Ring - Protection 1 2,500 Lunar Brass Ring - Protection 2 3,000 Lunar Copper Ring - Protection 3 3,500 Lunar Silver Ring - Protection 4 4,000 Lunar Gold Ring - Protection 5 4,500 Lunar Mithril Ring - Protection 6 5,000 Lunar RING of COUNTER-MAGIC The metal this ring is made from determines the level of Counter-Magic it gives the wearer (same as if using the spirit spell Counter-Magic). The wearer must expend 1MP to activate the ring and it will remain active for 10 combat rounds. (If the ring is activated more then 5 times in a single day it will require +1MP per each successive use and it also has a 25% chance of self-destructing. The number of Runes indicates the number of Hit Points the ring will heal per Combat Turn. The wearer does not have to activate the ring, it automatically takes 1MP from the wearer when they are injured per turn until fully healed. (If the wearer has no MPs left, the ring will take 1 permanent point of POW each turn that it heals the wearer. There is no way to stop the ring from working other than not wearing it.) 1 Death Rune - 1HP Healed 5,000 Lunar 2 Death Rune - 2HP Healed 6,000 Lunar 3 Death Rune - 3HP Healed 7,000 Lunar 4 Death Rune - 4HP Healed 8,000 Lunar OTHER MAGICAL ITEMS FIREBOW A longbow made of Iron (Requires 18 STR to use), it fires normal arrows, but at the archers command the bow imbues the arrow with the Spirit Spell FIREARROW. (This special ability can only be used 12 times per day. The bow must then be left in a fire for 1 hour per uses to recharge the magic.) Cost - 1,000 Wheels (Can rarely be found only in very large cities) SPEEDBOW A longbow made of Iron (Requires 18 STR to use), it fires normal arrows, but at the archers command the bow imbues the arrow with the Spirit Spell SPEED DART (This special ability can only be used 12 times per day. The bow must then be left idle for 1 hour per use) Cost - 1,000 Wheels (Can rarely be found only in very large cities) EYES of ETHER Looking very much like a pair of Opera Glasses with a power crystal set between the lenses. It requires 1MP to activate and will allow the user to look through the glasses with the ability of Second Sight for 5 minutes. (It can only be used once every 6 hours) SPIRIT AMULET This is a metal disk with the Spirit rune engraved into it with a POW crystal also set into the disk. (The type of metal determines the power of the amulet, it conveys the wearer with the Spirit Spell Spirit Shield for 10 combat turns.) It requires 1MP to activate.
