The continent of Farlanth has the distinction of being known as the Birth Place of All Chaos, for creatures of Chaos roam freely across the landscape. Vast regions of Farlanth are unexplored because the cost in lives would be too high to make it effective. Farlanth is also known worldwide for the quality of its Ales and Beers, which are not produced by dwarves but humans.
Farlanth is ruled by the High King Boris Stavantagg, his castle is in the continents principal city of Turath-Muren which is nestled in a valley of the Muren Mountains. Its population is over 80,000, and the King maintains and army of over 10,000 troops, plus a special 1,500 troop force that’s sole duty is to do escort service for caravans traveling to Star Spire city or Pavis.
The city of Star Spire is a towered city, and is the place to study magic, for it is essentially a giant university. It has no fixed population as its students come and go on a regular basis. Star Spire is ruled by the council of Scholars, a body of nine persons that are extremely powerful and wise. Star Spire has no military to speak up, its main protection comes from the elves that inhabit the forest around the city. Plus the city is home to thousands of sorcerers of all types.
Veyduum is the only real port city on all of Farlanth with a population of over 60,000, and is ruled by Lusanna the Sea Queen. She is a Sea Elf that has taken this city to new levels of wealth. It is a neutral city, and has only been attacked once during her rule. And at her command the sea swallowed the ships of her attackers.
Hawkes Point is a large city that sits high on cliffs overlooking the sea, Lord Breen is the ruler of this region of Farlanth, and it has a population of around 35,000. Hawkes Point has a standing army of around 1,500 troops, and is also home to the Silver Hawks Mercenary Company, which hires out mercenaries world wide.
Pavis is the gateway to hell, as its often called. For it lies on the edge of unexplored territories and is besieged by creatures of Chaos on a nearly daily basis. Pavis is also known for a force known as the FIST of STORMBULL, this group of Chaos hunters ride the Drakonite lizards and are about the only group that willingly ventures into the unknown to kill chaos. Pavis has a defensive army of only 2,500, and relies heavily on the great walls surrounding the city for protection. Its population is about 15,000 and is currently ruled by Vyktor, the captain of the FIST of STORMBULL.
QuaanHalm is a large city on the northern part of Farlanth with a population of 70,000 an is ruled by King Corwyn Malarrin. It has a good sized standing army of 3,500 troops that keeps the region fairly secure from Chaos.
The Pristar Mountains is a thin broken range of mountains that span the center of Farlanth.
The Silveryne forest is huge and very wild, it is known that a large elven city is in the forest somewhere. And there are also creatures that are found nowhere else on Alistarr dwelling there and they are not Chaos creatures.
The Muren mountains is a massive range of mountains that covers the southern portion of the continent of Farlanth. There are numerous Dwarven settlements throughout the mountains. The mines here produce some of the greatest quality metal ores in the world.
