Bush for my money would be a excellent addition... Just not in the White House.
Before you tell me he's an underclassman and a RB, I 'll predict he'll come out, unlike Matt 'Ballroom Dancing' Leinart didn't do this year.
1) He catches passes very well - slot reciever if I had to convert him, with a 4.3-40 and very strong for his 6-0 frame.
2) He does the PR/KR thing - so versatile and has tremendous shiftiness
3) He 'likes' to block - On a Kickoff that was short, I saw him come up and pancake another guy, and continue on to the next would-be tackler of his teammate.
This guy will be a superstar, IMO. He's pretty much a lock for a top 2-5 draft pick, which means either:
1) The Bears will have to be that bad - top 5 again.
2) Or trading up to get him - #1 draft pick 2007 (or two #1s) and T. Jones, assuming TJ has any value to the team you trade him to. Pricey, yes, but he's WORTH the gamble to me.
I realize they need O-line (OT is supposely a very deep positon in 2006) so that would be my second round choice. TE is terrible too - but FAs might be that answer. Round 3-7 meet whatever needs crop up this year. (A Kicker in Round 4-5 - maybe Ben Jones/Purdue)
How things play out of course will determine a lot. But if you look POSITIVELY at what a 2006 backfield would include in Benson/Bush/(Grossman/Orton)/Bradley/Muhammad. You could have a #1 and #2 WR and your RB.
I am not sold completely on any of this, but to see this guy play, wow, I just see him making a big splash.
A faster, shiftier, stronger Marshall Faulk type just waiting to wear #5 for the Bears.
By round I would do as of today:
1 - RB/WR (Reggie Bush -USC)
2 - OT (Daryn Colledge -Boise State) or maybe DT (Jesse Mahelona-Tennessee)
3 - CB/SS (Kelly Jennings -Miami)
4 - WR (Skyler Green LSU) or OT Taitusi Lutui (USC)
5 - Kicker (Ben Jones -Purdue) yeah I know... but they NEED a kicker.
6 - OG/OT Roy Swan (Houston) or DE Javon Nanton (Miami)
7 - WR (Eric Davis -Vanderbilt) or OLB (Cameron Vaughn LSU)
