The Futures All Star game was played Sunday. This is a minor league showcase of the the best talent in all organizations from A ball to AAA. I spent some time gathering the following information from the Minor League Baseball Website . The best or leaders in specific attributes are listed in the table below.
Orginally I had 118 players that had OBP above .365, SLG above .475 and .260 BA. After eliminating players with high strikeout ratios (.20 or greater) and some of the players in Hitter's Leagues (PCL, Southern, California), I got down to this group:

These are the statistics of 27 ballplayers that seemed to be going places. Further research is needed to see if their ages match favorably to their performances. (Being a 24-year old in A ball – you would HOPE the player would dominate.)
I suppose it would be presumpitious to say more than a few will make it:
Andy Laroche, Miguel Montero, Hunter Pence, Luis Montanez are all players well-known in the Minors. But who knows? I hope to somehow gain an insight for those that care about such things.
The Minor League database I tried to make will by season's end give me some idea. Or not!
