I am working hard on a Baseball Project that hopefully will be completed by August/September. My ultimate desire is to see it in print - like actually finding a publisher (and not using the vanity press) - but I must admit that is hard to believe I'll pull it off. However, with some backing (I have a couple of professors interested in my work, so far), maybe it becomes a reality.
The goal of the project is put in proper perspective the Evolution of the Baseball - from the early days when blacks, hispanics and foreigners couldn't play to the Steriod Era - utilizing player statistics/histories, law cases, physics, process control charts and business info/analysis to support the objective. It is not so much about playing the game as it is the numbers generated, decisions about and changes to the player's environment.
I hope it will interesting enough to read when I get it all put together.
