Marlow Colvin is Running Scared...
14 November 2007
Last week Monday, I accompanied Bill 'Doc' Walls to Springfield and covered his filing of petitions for U. S. Representative in Illinois' First Congressional District. At the State Board of Elections we ran into Derrick Prince and while riding back to Chicago, Illinois state representative Marlow H. Colvin called Mr. Prince for the first time in years and was so upset that he has competition this time around for his seat that Colvin is now challenging the 2,500 plus names on Derrick's nominating petitions. Months ago, Prince told Colvin that he (Prince) was unlikely to run, but now that he's in the race, Colvin is frightened because he wasn't given enough time to insert a spoiler into the race. I have had the impression for years that Marlow Colvin hasn't really done anything for the people in the 33rd district and just wants to sit there indefinitely without opposition.
Joe McAfee is said to have circulated alot of Colvin's petitions. In law, as in Nature, there is Proximate Cause. Could the gerrymandering of District 33 in 2002 have caused the untimely death of Cedonia Buckley and her son Daniel, who is said to have been illegally disallowed from being on the ballot for the seat Mr. Colvin was initially appointed to in 2000? All of this is truly relevant and I can corroberate its political efficacy. More about this later.
Derrick Prince contends that Marlow Colvin wants to deny the voters choice by denying challengers access to the ballot. Kinda reminds me of Langdon Neal actively invoking an arbitrary unlawful injunction to preclude Bill Dock Walls' name from appearing on the ballot for Chicago City Clerk in 2003, while allowing Richard M. Daley's name to be on the ballot for Mayor in 2007 when Daley, like Colvin today, lacked the required number of legitimate signatures to qualify his name to be placed on the ballot. I am happy to report that his kind of political corruption will be effectively dealt with very soon. Thank you.
