TERLINGUA ABAJA |

This crumbling
ghost town has been the site of several eerie
encounters.
Most of the buildings are adobe with the exception
of the
church, which is built of stone. The cemetery has twenty
graves,
including several infants who died in the harsh conditions here.
LOCATION
The isolated
adobe ghost town is on Terlingua Creek on the
Mesa de
Anguilla, near Santa Elena Canyon. Only experienced
hikers
should attempt the trip.
