HOWARD MANSION |

This three
story brick house was erected in 1851 by James Howard.
Shortly
after restoration in 1968, the ghost of his wife was seen
floating
over the stairway to the upper floors. The ghost paused
and looked
directly at one of the curators, as if thanking her for
saving
the Howard home from the wrecking ball.
LOCATION
Henderson
is in Rusk County, in northeastern Texas at the junction
of U.S.
