beaird house |
|
This modern
ranch house, built in the 1950s, was the site of
mind-boggling
poltergeist activity from 1965 to 1968. In July 1965,
hordes
of giant June bugs repeatedly attacked the Beaird family
while they
slept in their beds. The attacks stopped as soon as the
lights
were turned on. Hundreds of bugs littered the floors, but
most of
the bugs were already dead and dried up. Small objects
floated
in midair, and unidentifiable, high-pitched voices were
heard in
the house. Then the voices of seven dead people, all known
to the
family, began resonating from inside the walls. An invisible
force pulled
covers off beds in the middle of the night, punched
holes in
walls, and unscrewed plugs on gas lines in the house. Police
investigated
the house on several occasions but could find no
cause for
the phenomena. The family was finally forced to move out
of the
house, and subsequent owners reported nothing unusual.
