Open your legs
By stepping forward half a stride it improves my balance for a punch. The best shots begin at your toes and travel through your legs. Thats why getting your balance just right is important.
Eye to eye contact
Some fighters look down if they are going to throw a body shot, but I always look my opponent straight in the eye, so that he cant anticipate where Im going to punch.
Throw a dummy
The wickedest punches are always the ones you dont expect. So when I throw a left hook, I like to throw a right hand shot because the guy will instinctively move to his right and into my punch!
Transfer the weight
To get maximum leverage, I bend my legs slightly. Then, as I throw the punch from the shoulder, I straighten up.
Pick your spot
The tip of the chin is the most vulnerable spot, but anywhere on the side of the face is a good target.
Watch him crumble
When you land the perfect punch, you know as soon as it connects that its all over, its magic.
