The Cafeteria

Setting:

In the cafeteria the tables are set nicely, everything is neat. There is one guy sitting alone

Mike: (He looks beat up, he has a broken arm, black eye, bruises all over his body) Hey what’s up? Yeah I look beat up don’t I? I got messed up and it was all my fault, I wanted to be cool but hey that shit dun work out. I deserved it all, I was trying to act like a tough guy but being a chinc can’t always help, I’m sorry I got you kicked out of school man, I just hope my bro don’t end up like me.

Scene 1:

(In the cafeteria,A group of Asians kids are sitting around their table, they are talking, laughing and joking around Mike Enters)

Group of Friends: hahahahaha

(Mike sits down)

Mike: hey guys what’s everyone laughing at?

Kenneth: we are laughing at that table full of white boy’s.

Mike: haha werd, werd, all they can do is make a fool of themselves.

Kenneth: hell yeah those white boy’s can’t do anything right.

(Rob a new student enters; he is white and is looking for someone to sit with, he sees mikes table and start walking towards them)

Rob: Hi, I new to this school can I sit with you guys?

(Everyone stops talking, a blank stare is given to him by everyone, and Mike speaks)

Mike: Hell no!!!!, get your white ass outta here!!! This table is for Asians only go back to the white side and chill with them.

Group of Friends: Haha hells yeah get over to the white boys and dun be talking to us anymore, PEACE!!!.

Rob: That’s makes no sense, you don’t want me to sit with you guys because I’m white? That’s a dumb reason, whatever screw you guys then.

(Rob walks away and sits with another table.)

Mike: Ohhh hell no that white boy did not just say that to us.

Kenneth: Yeah yo let’s get him back.

Mike: Yeah that kid will learn his place in this school.

Scene 2:

(Introduces a new Character K, Its Lunch time in Middle school, he enters the Cafeteria, he looks around but he finds no one he knows, he looks puzzled.)

K: (thinks to himself) “I wonder where I should sit?”

(In the background other kids are laughing, chatting smiling. K looks around more and notices some kids from his class, he walks towards the table..) K: Hi guys can I sit with you?

Table of Kids: Ummm…?? I don’t think you want to sit here.

K: Why not?

(One of the kids shouts out)

Kid One: We don’t want any chincs sitting with us.

(Another kid joins in)

Kid Two: can’t you see we’re white get out of here you yellow boy.

(Another kid joins in)

Kid Three: Why don’t you go do some math problems or something Asian boy?

Table of Kids: Yeah get out of here, Get going, we don’t want your slanted eyes here.

(K looks puzzled, a little hurt and he walks to the corner of the Cafeteria and sits alone)

Scene 3:

(Mike, Kenneth, and some of his friends sitting in class towards the back, they are laughing and joking around, Rob is sitting near the front of the class, he looks eager to learn.)

Friends: Yo, Mike, it’s that kid who gave us lip.

Kenneth: ohh shit hes in our class.

Mike: Nice he is our class, hey I got an idea, give me some glue and some paper.

(Kenneth and the group of kids crumple up some paper, Mike grabs a bottle of glue.)

Kenneth: Throw them!

(They throw all the paper at him)

Rob: What the Hell?!?! You guys are so dumb.

(he gets up to throw away the trash, While he up, Mike walks up to his chair and pours the glue onto this seat, he run back to his seat.)

Mike: Hahaha I hope he falls for that, that would be mad funny.

(Rob walks back, one of the kids throw’s another piece of paper at him, he is distracted and sits on the glue.)

The classroom: HAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

Mike: Yo he fell for it, what a dumb ass.

Kenneth: Werd how did he fall for that?, nice job everyone.

Rob: I can’t believe you guys, that was so gay.

(Rob walks out of the classroom)

Mike: yeah we got him good let’s get him at lunch to.

(the bell rings and everyone goes to lunch)

Scene 4:

(Back in the middle school, K is in class, everyone in class is doing a group project, K is left alone with no one to group with, he starts to work alone, but a young girl goes up to him and talks to him.)

Sophia: Hi there (she has a smile on her face).

K: uhhh, ummmm hi?

Sophia: would you like to join our group??

K: (with a stutter in his voice) umm… are you sure?

Sophia: (laughs) Haha, yes you, now common let’s go.

K: (has a great smile) Sure!!!

(K joins her group, he seems very happy and they work away)

Scene 5:

(Mike and his group of friends are sitting in the cafeteria, occasionally Mike and his friends throw food at another table, and everyone laughs. Rob enters the cafeteria, he has found a new group of friends they are all white too.)

Group of Friends: Hey Mike is that white boy again, yo he’s sitting with the white hicks.

Mike: Haha looks like he wanted to make some new friends.

Kenneth: But those are the same kids who we got beef with.

Mike: Its no big he still needs to learn that his white ass can’t fuck with the Asians. Now we got to think of something to get back at him.

Group of Friends: I don’t know Mike that might be hard, those white boys always like to stick together, and if anything happens they will get their lawyers on us.

Kenneth: Yeah man that’s true all white people got mad money, they have so much money that don’t even know what to do with it.

Mike: It’s going to be fine.

Group of Friends: Aight you know we got your back.

Kenneth: yeah you know I got your back.

Mike: Ok guys; meet at my house after school.

(The scene ends with Mike and his friends leaving the Cafeteria)

Scene 6:

(Back in the middle school, K enters the cafeteria. He head’s to the corner table and sits down)

K: (thinking to himself) “Well it looks like its another lonely lunch period I wonder if…..”(Stops talking because he is hit by some food).

(K sees the group of white kids snickering hiding their laughter)

(Sophia walks up to K)

Sophia: Hi K, do you want to sit with me and my friends?

K: (shocked reaction on his face, and stutters) umm sur…,sur…, sure that would be great.

Sophia: common then I’ll introduce you to all of my friends.

K: ok lets go (K has a huge smile on his face).

(At the Table with Sophia and her friends)

Sophia: Ok K, these are my friends, David, Kaity, Kitty, Mike and Kim, everyone this is K

K: Hi everyone.

Group of friends: Hi K!

(The scene ends with everyone talking)

Scene 7:

(Mike and his friends are at Mike’s house, the bedroom is filled with posters of Asian singers and rock stars, its quite simple just a bed and a desk, with a couple of chairs.)

Group of Friends: Aight mike so what’s the plan to get that white boy?

Kenneth: yeah what are we going to do now?

Mike: What do white people hat most?

Kenneth: what?

Mike: They hate being humiliated in front of a large group of people.

Kenneth: I thought they hated losing money?

Mike: nah those are just jew’s man

Kenneth: ohh right my bad.

Group of friends: so how are we going to do this?

Mike: During lunch, we got t get a food fight started. Then when everything is in chaos we will get some pink pant and dump it on him.

Kenneth: haha werrrd that sounds good, but we should also hit him with some food to.

Mike: aight that’s sounds even better, what do you guys think?

Group of Friends: aight aight werrrd we should do that.

Mike: ok you guys get the paint, Kenneth and I will set up everything else.

Group of friends: right you got it mike.

(As Mike’s Friend leave, Mike and Kenneth start planning).

Scene 8:

(In the Middle School, K is sitting in the cafeteria with Sophia and his new friends)

Friends: Hey look at those nerds playing magic cards.

(K sits down eating his lunch quietly, pretending he didn’t hear anything.)

Kids at the table: Hey gimmie back my watch.

No gimmie back my card binder.

No gimmie back my watch.

No gimmie back my card binder.

Sophia: oh my god, why can’t they just shut up and give it back to each other

(K gets an annoyed face on)

K: SHUT UP, AND GIVE HIM BACK HIS WATCH!!!!!!!!

(Everyone at the table break out in laughter, the kids walk out of the cafeteria).

K: (has a sign of regret on his face): do you guys think that I was a little rude to them?

Friends: No! Way they had it coming to them.

Sophia: Yeah, if you didn’t say something I would’ve.

K: (still a little confused) oh ok then.

(The stage fades and it ends with everyone talking.)

Scene 9:

(in the cafeteria mike and his friends are getting ready to start their plan. The cafeteria is full and everyone is talking)

Mike: ok Boys get ready, your guys have the pain?

Group of friends: Yes we do, do you have the food Kenneth?

Kenneth: Yeah I got the most vile food I could find in my refrigerator.

Mike: good, everything is in place; we will attack in 15min, get ready.

(15 minutes later, Rob enters the cafeteria; he sits with his white friends).

Mike: GO!!!!!!

(Kenneth throws his food at rob, and Mike runs up and throws the paint all over him.)

Rob: (with tears in his eyes) You chincs are going to get it, Mark my words you will get it.

(Rob storms out, and everyone in the cafeteria is laughing, the lights dim and the scene ends.)

Scene 10:

(Rob meets up with his friend in the cafeteria; they are plotting a way to get back at mike.)

Rob’s Friend: Those damn chincs think they can get away with that, Hell no!.

Rob: Yeah I know, but how are we going to get back at those slanty eyes assholes?

Rob’s Friend: we will get them the old fashion way, we will just start a fight and beat them up in front of everyone.

Rob: I don’t know, I don’t want to get into any trouble. (Has a concern look on his face)

Rob’s Friend: Don’t be such a wussy, if you want to get back at them you have to risk something (Has a passionate look on his face).

Rob: Ok then, how and when are we going to do this?

Rob’s Friend: Tomorrow in here so everyone can see those Asians get what they deserve. I’m going to get the rest of the guys and there will be a rumble that no one will forget.

(The lights fade, and it ends with Rob and his friend talking).

Scene 11:

(In the cafeteria the next day, Mike and his friends are sitting around talking and laughing. Rob and his group enters).

Rob: YO yellow boy, this ends today.

Mike: What are you talking about?

Rob: Ever since I came to this school all you have done to me was make fun of me and push me around, and why? Because I’m white, cause I’m not Asian? But you know what? This shit ends today.

Mike: Damn white boy, calm down, why don’t you and your friends go back out and have a party and get drunk or smoke weed or something.

(Robs eyes become enraged, he hurls towards Mike)

Rob: DIE!

(A big fight occurs; the entire cafeteria is in a state of chaos and confusion, everything is flaying around, including chairs, tables, food and people. In the mist of everything Rob hits Mike with a chair and knocks him unconscious, however he still keeps on hitting when he’s down. The teachers and administrators run in and try to stop everything when one of them touches him they are Rob hits them, then 3 more come to drag him away).

Rob: (as he is being dragged away) Yeah who’s laughing now Mike? Who is laughing now?

(The scene ends with Mike being rushed to the hospital)

Scene 12:

(Back in the middle school, K and Sophia are in the cafeteria talking)

K: I can’t believe how someone can do that. How could they do that to my brother?

Sophia: I don’t know Mike, sometimes you don’t know how white people are, they are mean and nasty all they want is to impress people and like to be the center of attention.

K: I swear from this day on I can never trust them, and I will teach them not to mess with me people.

Sophia: You can’t keep yourself away from them; no one should ever hate someone, you can’t keep yourself away from them, just be learn from your brother mistakes.

K: I don’t care, I hate them and I will get them, they will pay for their crimes.

Scene 13:

(Mike is in the cafeteria alone)

Mike: Don’t be like me. I had no right to do that to him, he was a nice guy and I turned on him because of my racism. Never pick on someone because of that and try not to have any hatred. Race is not what makes a person; everyone is the same on the inside. I learned my lesson try not to make the same mistakes as I did.
