Other important information: a. accompanying motions/movements: In pairs, children march around a double line of chairs while singing. One last word of verse, all sit down without releasing partner's hand. b. best way to motivate /draw interest: Props: knapsack, toy musket. c. variations of the words/movements/game activities: Add on the other verses or perhaps try playing without pairs. d. classroom instruments to accompany: Piano can play the melody as found in the book. Drum could play a marching beat. e. interrelation with other subjects: Would be a good activity for Social Studies. An opportunity to study Quebec's history.
