This is two views of the round temple at Delphi called the Tholos. A little ways down the mountain from the ancient city, this building is usually identified with Athena. Doric style, this temple has friezes involving both Centaurs and Amazons . |

The archaeological museum at Delphi holds antiquities found at the village sight . They range from the Archaic period to the Roman. Called the "Naxian Sphinx" it was used as support on the Ionic column. It is considered a demonic creature with the ability to ward off evil |
