Regina Sheck is in the best form of her career, having captained Waikato during this year's National Provincial Championship. Sheck, a police officer, has filled an interesting variety of roles on the rugby field. She started her career at first five-eighth; moved to No 8 but made her New Zealand debut on the 1994 tour to Australia as a prop. A knee reconstruction the following season slowed her progress but Sheck made her Test debut at the 1996 Canada Cup. Although she not always been in the Test starting line-up, her form this year will make it difficult for her to left out. Scored a memorable try in the 1998 World Cup final against the United States.
