SKW Airport

WELCOME!!!!!!!

Welcome to the SKW Airport (I randomly chose 3 letters, that is how that name came to be.) The airport is divided into two totally separate terminals, and a space shuttle launch pad. This airport is served by eight airlines and the Space Shuttle. The Space Shuttle gives tours of space and the near atmosphere of Earth for about the price of a Cross Country flight. The Space Shuttle Launches every Friday Afternoon at 4:30 P.M., and returns at 8:45 A.M. Saturday Morning.

North Terminal

The North Terminal sits on the North end of the city. Built in 1990 to relieve the overcrowding in the South Terminal, the North Terminal has two gates, a complete security check-in, a patio waiting area, a northward facing control tower, and is served daily by six airlines--Combust, American, United, US Airways, Delta, and Northwest(Who happens to have an alliance with KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines).

South Terminal

The original building of the SKW Airport, the South Terminal has faithfully served the Lego City, being the first building in the city made of Legos. Built in 1985, the South terminal also has two gates. At its peak traffic point in 1989, seven airlines were housed in this terminal. Since the building of the North Terminal, the South Terminal has had no crowding to worry about. On level two, you can enjoy some wonderful fast food at the Wendy's. On top of the building is the Southward facing Control Tower. The airlines that come in to the South Terminal are TWA, British, Singapore Airlines, Air-Tran, and Worldway Airlines.

This is the site that helped me find all my connections to all the airlines listed above as hyperlinks. This wonderful site has links to many more airlines worldwide if what you want is not here. http://www.mcmenamins.com/Edge/air.html

Welcome to Pioneer Field, the Stadium here in the Lego City. The Stadium is home to the Pioneers, the football team. The Pioneers are an independent team, vying to become a team in National Football League. The Stadium holds 229,000 of the Pioneers most loyal fans. Tickets sell out for each game rather quickly. There are a wide range of seats you can buy at the box office. You can buy luxury boxes, located on the top level of the stadium for about $3500 a game. On the middle level, tickets range from $35.75-$250.00, while on the bottom level, tickets range from $50.00 to $505.00. Pioneer Field was originally built in January 1996 and held 92,000. Since then, eight of ten phases of renovation have been completed, with the phase 7 finished on December 30, 1997. The Pioneers and the rest of the Lego City citizens wish to see you there! Phase 8 was completed in June of 1998. This brought seating capacity to 235,000+.

What else is here at Pioneer Field? Well, when the Pioneers are enjoying their Summer Vacation, the city's baseball team, the Roadkillers, take to the field. Even though 229,000 seats can be converted into baseball seats, the team still has 175,000 of their best fans coming through the turnstiles to watch America's pastime. The team does have hopes of joining either the National or American Leagues in the near future.

What about Soccer (In Europe, referred to as football)? When the Pioneers and Roadkillers are not playing, the soccer team, the Morphokickers, is tearing up the field. Attendance at these games runs about 227,000 people. Someday, the Morphokickers hope to become part of MLS.

  • Riding Stable

Welcome to the Riding Stable, home of some pretty and athletic horses. Many horses train here, from race horses to show horses to horses that go on parade with the knights on the Pierre Level. Outdoors, there is a four hurdle obstacle course that all horses must pass before taking on the world, and a corale area where the horses are washed, fed, and babied. Inside, there are four areas for the horses to eat, sleep, and drink water. It is at 5:30 p.m. each afternoon that the horses are put to bed after a long day of training. In the end, it is here where the best horses in the Lego City of Chris Fortier are trained.

  • History Row

Welcome to History Row, site of some replicas of world famous sites, and some not-so-famous sites. Hsitory Row is located on the Northside of the Antoine Level next to the elevator. What you see below is a clip-art expression of the actual site.

    BIG BEN

The Vanguard of governmental London, Big Ben stands gracefully next to Parliament on the Thames River. In my city, It sits across the street from the airport, and the stable. I bought this replica at the Harrod's Department Store in London. This is the favorite site of many in London, and in my Lego City. See a 360 view of Big Ben.

    THE EIFFEL TOWER (TOUR D'EIFFEL)

The Eiffel Tower is the first thing you think of when the word "Paris" runs through your mind. Just a small distance from the Seine River, this site outclasses most of the city that surrounds it. Built in the late 1880's for the World's Fair, this tower has survived two wars and many movements to tear it down. Today, it is the main radio tower for broadcasts from Paris to the rest of France. See a 360 view of The Eiffel Tower

    THE COURTHOUSE

Welcome to the Lego City of Chris Fortier's Courthouse. The motto on our doorstep is "Stupid is as Stupid Does." We believe all criminals are stupid, especially if they end up here. Here, like any other courthouse, all criminal and civil cases are tried in front of a jury like ones guaranteed by the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights Amendment 6.

    THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS WATERTOWER

This tower is where all the reserve water is held. When a crisis strikes the city, people can come to the watertower and receive free water. Where does all this water come from? Water tubes connect this watertower with the Chesapeake Bay only 3 miles away. This water comes from the Bay and desalinized into consumable water. Water not used is returned to the bay. The tower is shaped like a Washington Redskins waterbottle, and guess what? It is.

    THE CREDIT UNION

Founded in 1996, The Credit Union was built for the people of the Lego City of Chris Fortier for their financial convienence. In The Credit Union, a wide array of services can be accessed such as: Loans, Check-Cashing, Refinancing of property, candy lolli-pops, and penny-packing. Opening an account is as easy as 1-2-3. So many people have come to The Credit Union, there is speculation that another branch will be opened on the Lucette Level in 1999. Keep checking this page for updates.

  • Fire Station No. 1-Antoine Level

We, the people of the Antoine Level fire station make it our mission to keep the people of the Lego City of Chris Fortier, and the people of the World safe and sound from the dangers of fire. While we are not on a mission to kill a fire and save the people inside the building from the fire, we are out educating the public about fire safety. It is important that we work together, so that we may be alive come the time when fire strikes.

At our firehouse, we are equipped with two fire trucks, one a small truck with a hose at the end, and one that contains a firekilling gun, 2 hoses, and storage for oxygen tanks, and helmets. We love to call it "The Tank of Beauty!" We also have the V-Truck, which was acquired in 1996. This truck contains the same features as the Tank of Beauty, but is slightly smaller. At the top of the Firehouse sits our helicopter. This helicopter executes the fire from the sky. Equipped with 2 hoses on opposite sides of the chopper, this skyhawk has extinguished around 675 fires in its four-year service. Our control center sits at the top of firehouse. Here is where the 911 calls are taken and processed. It is here where the seven volunteer fire squad gathers during slow periods.

In accordance with our mission to educate, here are a couple of sites about Fire Safety and Fire Education:
