TRANINST.ZIP - self-extracting zip file (504 Kbytes compressed, c. 1.4 Mbytes expanded) for TRANSLAT.EXE and data, Version 4.09, and LATIN.EXE Version 2.9b 1. Copy file to any directory. 2. Use PKunzip or WinZip to install the files *keeping original directories* to the drive of your choice. 3. if drive C is not used for X above, edit TRANSLAT.SET to replace all occurrences of C:\ with the drive letter you selected. Same applies to sub-directories - if you choose a root directory other than C:\ (for example C:\TRANSLAT), the directories \LATIN, \LATIN\DATA and \LATIN\TEXT will be created under this top level and hence the relevant entries in TRANSLAT.SET must be altered (e.g. to C:\TRANSLAT\LATIN etc). 4. Please read information document TRANSLAT.TXT for full information on selecting options, installing examples etc. Note well that LATIN and TRANSLAT MUST be run initially with a command line option /BIN. Failure to do this will cause runtime errors! ('file not found in module TRANUTIL...'). NB: LATIN.EXE uses the same datafiles as TRANSLAT.EXE; *.TRS and *.TBL files are created during the /BIN process (former for TRANSLAT, latter for LATIN). These programs are free-ware. Peter D.
