Just wanted to keep in touch with my good friends at Trail Talk, and whoever else bumps into this here webpage. Hello.
The three pictures below are very scenic indeed. They are on a small portion of a much longer "Conestoga Trail", along the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania near the town of Quarryville. The feller in these pictures just kept following me, and kept gettin' in the way. He's like a stray dawg, he is, and needs a home. If'n any of you wemen would take the pleasure to adopt him please call the ASPCA of Lancaster County in Pennsylvania and give the poor man a home. He's a volunteer at the ASPCA, and they hold his mail for him when he's out a wanderin'. All he needs is to be fed twice a day and a bowl of water will do just fine. He'd make a great lap dawg for some cute little 22 year ol' firm -- not to mention perky -- blond. Anyways, I didn't mean to make this here note to sound like a personals advertisemint. I just felt sorry for the poor cuss, is all. Well, enjoy the pictures.
For a complete set of 8x10's please contact me personally for a 10% discount at [email protected]. They's going like hotcakes here in Lancaster County. Oh, by the way, my MoM wanted to send her regards and warm wishes to y'all. She's a wunderful lady, and I am lucky to have her as my MoM.
With Warm Regards,
Idiot BoB & MoM
PS -- Anyways, this here feller Wayne -- calls hisself "Apples" -- says to me, "see ya at Mt. Rogers!" Now I have no idear how he got that notion into his peabrain head. Well, that's why I'm posting this here "public service announcemint". If he shows up, let's treat him kindly, and feed him well.

This here is the "Pinnacle Overlook" on the Susquehanna River. The picture is looking northwest, and that is "Duncan Island" way out there. The overlook is at 700 feet above sea level, and over 500 feet above the river below. It is one of the favorite visiting spots for the Amish on Sundays, of course. The "Conestoga Trail" runs through this area along the eastern side of the river.

This is just another pretty scene in the woods on the "Conestoga Trail" near a place called "House Rock". There are some nice vistas along this trail that equal that of "Pinnacle Overlook", and "House Rock" is one of 'em. Dang if that idiot didn't get in the way again. He claims to be Amish, but he sure does seem to be a camera hound for them people. Besides, I can tell that he ain't really Amish by his clothing. I may not be the brightest light bulb in the drawer, but you have to get up awful early in the morning to catch me peeking in yore bedroom winder.

Now this here is a picture of... dang this feller is really gittin' on my nerves. Anyways, it's a picture of a place called "Wind Cave". Some people call it "Ice Cave". It don't go in too terribly far, but you can see a chamber further down, and to the right, but can't squeeze into without gettin' stuck. Further up the hill behind "Wind Cave" about 100 feet is a vertical shaft that connects to the chamber you can't get into. It's pretty cool... as you kin tell by this feller wearing a vest. By the way, after talkin' to him all day... as if I had nothin' better to do, he finally told me his name. It's always good to have names to go with the pictures you take. It kind of helps the story out a little bit. Anyways, his name, I come to find out is Wayne Applegate, and he tells me there ain't much of a story to his sad life. What a miserable cuss, this poor feller turns out to be. Just a wanderer in the hills of Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia... he wait a minute, that ain't too bad a life. I think it must be time to re-evaluate my career as an outdoor guide along Lake Erie. I would have to say by the looks of this handsome feller, bein' a hillbilly ain't too bad a life!
