STAGEBAND

Stageband is a volunteer jazz band that plays all sorts of upbeat popular music. It consists of musicians from grades 8-12. They meet to practice at least once a week and fill up the BCS2000 halls with rockin' tunes. The Stageband has saxes, trombones, trumpets, percussion, bass, and piano. During the 1999-2000 school year they performed in the Biggar Music Festival, at the Sandra Schmirler Olympic Gold Park Groundbreaking, and at the BCS2000 Grand Opening. They will also play at the year end concert, the parade, and grad. Band members include Amy Sapsford, Bethany Hoppe, Tamara Itterman, Steven Dollansky, Jill Sapsford, Chelsea Bulani, Mandy Poitras, Kim Fick, Katy Sapsford, Kim Meszaros, Jessie Wylie, Cassandra Bulani, Stacy Poitras, Stephanie Zidkovich, Sarah L'Hoir, Jamie Lamont, and Mike Gerein. The director is Mr. D. Schmeiser.

The Stageband had a great performance at the December Christmas Band concert.



The band will participate in the June band concert. They will play a variation of new tunes to get you in the mood.
