Advent Festival

The 2007 Advent Festival will be on the first Sunday of Advent, December 2nd. Meet in Bradford Hall from 3-6 pm for crafts and a light meal. This is fun for the whole family!

Parent's Night Out

Get a jump on your holiday shopping by taking advantage of the Youth's first fund-raiser for the National Youth Event. Bring your children to the church on December 1st from 3-7 pm. Bring a "sack supper" for your children and they will enjoy movies, games, and crafts with the Youth Group. Questions: call Kristina Martin 695-4545.

Meeting with Pastor Brooks

In order to provide effective pastoral care, Pastor Brooks asks that those wishing to meet with him make an appointment. This can be done by calling the church office at 693-1476 or by sending an email to him at [email protected]. Appointments are available in the evening and on weekends. In addition, when there are no meetings scheduled, Brooks is usually available on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm, and on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

WHO

The family homeless shelter (WHO) at St. Andrews is in need of blankets. Please call David Slocum, 693-8968 or 573-5120 if you can help.

Notes on Security

In order to make our space more safe, the lower doors will be locked before the service starts. If you arrive after the start of service and cannot park in the upper spaces, don't forget that there is a doorbell at the lower door. If you would like to volunteer to be a greeter at the lower door, please contact Connie Oppel, 360-573-8997.

Children's Christmas Program

On 12/16 the children will lead the congregation in "The Journey to Bethlehem" immediately following the service. The congregation will follow the "Journey to Bethlehem" down to Bradford hall and then share a potluck lunch. Please plan on bringing a hot dish, salad or dessert to share.

Cookies Needed!

The children will be making and serving cookies during the coffee hour on 12/23. If you can donate some cookies, please bring them on 12/23 and we will all enjoy a cookie with our Beneficio coffee!

Adult Education resumes December 2.

You are invited to join Ed Martin in the Plymouth Room Sunday, December 2 from 11:30 to 1:00 for another installment of our Adult Education Series entitled:

For The Inward Journey: Reflections on the Pastoral Writings of Howard Thurman.

A light luncheon and lively discussion will be provided.
