Please note that I have indeed scanned the photos below from books. I am fully aware that I did not ask for permission to display them on this website, because I need to put up this page to be able to do more research on this subject matter as soon as possible, for the sake of an accurate, authentic resconstruction of Frankish-Kentish costume in the 6th and 7th centuries. Reconstruction by Max Martin, 1991
Jewellery of Queen Arnegunde, who died 570, and gold thread embroidery which was at the cuff of the sleeve of her dress. The dress itself was silk, as were all the other garments, including the veil. Found in situ in her stone coffin underneath the cathedral St. Denis near Paris, the traditional burial place of the central Frankish/French royalty.
