The first of my Kennedys to reach the shores of the United States was James O. Kennedy. His exact date of birth is not known because it changes from one vital record to another. When he was granted citizenship in 1855, his age was given as 28, which would place his birth at about 1827.
I have not yet traced James back to his village or county of origin, but I'm a-workin' on it!
