
Kwanzaa is an African American holiday started in the 60's which is celebrated throughout the month of December. There are 15 million people around the world who celebrate Kwanzaa. For many African Americans and other Africans Kwaznaa is a substitute for Christmas (which many African Americans find to Eurocentric).
For Kwanzaa the President of the Cultural Awareness Club gave a lecture which explained the holiday of Kwanzaa. He also brought different icons which represent Africa and are used during the month of Kwanzaa.
