1998-Current��TransCore (division of SAIC) I work as a Technical Documentation Specialist, which involves editing, writing, and document/art design/layout, supporting clients involved with toll collection on highway systems. Writing will include online docs, proposals the size of a Cincinatti phone book (well, bigger!), and user manuals directed towards various audiences. Being able to determine my own job description to some degree, I will soon be developing and programming some Web front-ends for various clients, and providing solutions to clients as well. I also perform a variety of jack-of-all-trade tasks (research, local problem-solving, etc.) -- whatever needs to be done to help the team of which I am a part. Happy happy happy!

  • Wrote and edited topical magazines Electronic Government (distribution 60,000: 65% civilian, 35% military) and Insight (distribution 60,000: 100% military), focused on technological issues such as DMS, the World Wide Web, and the Year 2000 problem.
  • Developed articles for each magazine, from conception through writing and editing.
  • Interviewed government agency officials and computer vendors.
  • Evaluated outside product and topic submissions.
  • Wrote advertorial magazines (containing product articles and success stories) for clients such as Adobe and Novell, geared towards government, educational, and major markets.
