Basic Meeting Flow

President

  • Opens and introduces guests.
  • Announcements and Business.
  • Officer Reports.
  • Introduce Toastmaster.

Toastmaster

  • Can briefly discuss theme.
  • Introduce Grammarian who fulfills duties. (Define duties if guests are present.)
  • Introduce Timer, who fulfills duties. (Define duties if guests are present.)
  • Introduce Jokemaster. (may be at end of meeting)
  • Introduce Master Evaluator. (Define duties if guests are present.)

Master Evaluator

  • Introduce Evaluators and names of whom they will evaluate.
  • State speakers' pertinent information. (Not an introduction)
  • Return control to Toastmaster.

Toastmaster

  • Introduce Topicmaster.

Topicmaster

  • Do brief prelude.
  • Conduct topics, lead applause.
  • Return control to Toastmaster.

Toastmaster

  • Ask for Timer's report and vote for best topic speaker. Ballots to timer.
  • Introduce first speaker, lead applause.
  • (After) Express appreciation, allow time for evaluation.
  • Same for next speakers.
  • Allow time for evaluation after last speach.
  • Introduce first evaluator, lead applause.
  • Same for other evaluators.
  • Call for Timer's report on speakers and evaluators.
  • Ask for audience to vote on best speaker and evaluator. Ballots to timer.
  • (Call for Jokemaster if previously omitted.)
  • Call for Grammarian's report.
  • Call for Master Evaluator's report on meeting.
  • Get vote results and present awards. (if any)
  • Return control to President for closing of the meeting.

President

  • Conduct any business.
  • As needed, adjust speaking schedule.
  • Close meeting.
