  • World Radio Network Listen to RealAudio broadcasts in Russian.

    Russify Your Browser

    Russian Language Links

    ...

  • Simon Hawkin's Russian Page links to dictionaries, fonts, literary resources, music and more
  • The Elvis Server in Russia need KOI-8
  • Nezavisimaya Gazeta from Russia need KOI-8 (Russian newspaper)

  • Russia-On-Line Excellent site in Russian and English!!!
This last site, Russia-on-line has an interesting feature. When you load the first page through the link above, on the right hand side of the page under What's New? you'll see a link to on-line translation. Definitely try it.
They have a service called Socrat-on-line that allows you to enter a word, phrase, sentence in English or Russian and have it translated.
For instance I entered the sentence "While driving down a lonely country road one day last summer, I encountered a strange, glowing craft hovering over a cornfield with a group of eerie, hooded creatures scurrying around nearby.".
This is what I got back (using CP1251 under Netscape Options/Document Encoding) -

Try it out and use your imagination!!!

  • RealAudio Russian Language Service Russian language broadcasts
  • Colonel Criag's Russian WWW links This is a fantastic site. You can get the news in Russian from Radio Canada in realaudio. It also has an interesting link to a dictionary with pictures that "talks" and pronounces the words!
Colonel Craigs has much more worth checking out!
  • Russian News Navigator Links to many Russian newspapers and magazines.
  • Russian Christian Page This site has a free downloadable hyper-text bible called Hyper-Biblia that you can download and install on your computer. I just downloaded it today (3-9-97) and began trying it out. It uses your browser to access the downloaded html pages. Super-neat!!!! (Make sure you have the CP1251 fonts downloaded - see Russification section above.)

Great source for Russian prose - KOI encoded
