One speaks the goddess Yemoja (or Oboto). In fact, they are several and they are sensible to intervene together in moments of great quarrels. They pacify by airing the overexcited men with the round fan that is the symbol of the appeasement. Here is what tells some the watchmaker

Here is the history:

 One tells that in this time - there, there was a great quarrel between gods to purpose of the goddesses of the appeasement. The god soothsayer, Fa, angered pulled the world to the continuation of this quarrel. As you know now, each time that a principle of balance pulls back from the world, the misfortune is coming on the creation. There was then a terrible famine. Fa had pulled back in the forest; it refuses to return in the world. It declared that alone the first godddess of the aquatic world could have pacify it with its round fan, and to make it return among the creation. Nobody knew then where is found the god in the forest. All the goddesses rendered there totality. They make a lot din. They thrown of stones against all what they met; they provoked thus the disorder everywhere in the nature. The god Fa, annoyed in its refuge by the disorder and the noise, will to know authors of so upheavals; but it did not appear; it would remain in its den, and aquatic Spirits hear only its voice annoyed. The goddesses supplicated the god to exit its retirement to listen them. The god finishes by accepting to appear. As soon as the Spirit is visible, the goddesses gaze to air it with their round fans, and succeed to pacify it.

The god come back in the world, and misfortunes ceased. The stratagem of Spirits of the appeasement had allowed to re-establish the harmony. ........."
