| Baba Jarnail Singh jee Khalsa was a
devoted Gursikh who laid down his life at Sri Darbaar
Saheb, Amritsar in June, 1984 while fighting for justice
and supporting the weak. He was the 14th Jathedaar (head)
of the Damdamee Taksaal, a Sikh educational institution
started by Baba Deep Singh jee. Jarnail Singh jee became engrossed in Naam and Baanee at an early age and joined the Damdamee Taksaal. There he continued his service of Guru jee and became a beloved of the Gursikhs around him. After the death of Baba Kartaar Singh jee, the sangat appointed him as the next Jathedaar of the Taksaal in 1977. He is the great soul who woke up the Sikh Nation and made them aware of the slavery they were living in at hands of the Indian Government. The Khalsa will forever remember his sacrifice! |
