Hold me in the silence
My breath caught in my chest
Somewhere in the distance
I hear the echo of your voice
By now only a memory
Yet held so closely to my heart
My soul aches from yearning
Wanting only what it once had
Feel the need within me
The need to feel you close
Burning with desire
Longing for your touch
With ease I can remember
The passion in your kiss
The fire in your touch
The need once universal
The love we once possessed
And now with every waking hour
Becomes a search for fulfillment
Looking for reason
An endless search for missing passion
Only needing to feel whole
Complete, like I did with you
Forever needing
To fill the cracks you left in me
