1911: The Olympic is successfully
launched.
1912: The Titanic is successfully
launched.
Wednesday, April 10, 1912, 2:00 P.M.: Passengers
begin boarding the Titanic.
Sunday, April 14, 1912, 11:51 P.M.: Seven iceberg
warning have been heard. The Titanic hits the
iceberg.
1:00 A.M.: The lifeboats are ready. Women and
children begin filling them up.
2:20 A.M.: Most men are left on Titanic.
The stern of Titanic bobs up and then slowly
goes down into the bottom of the sea.
1985: Robert B. Ballard and two partners
discover the Titanic in a small submarine named Alvin.
1986: A French expedition recovers many
artifacts.
