The Summer Camp program of the SGBA has touched the lives of several hundred children and youth of our local churches. This program has provided both physical and spiritual activities for our youth and interpersonal Christian fellowship that is so important to their development. This special time of consecrated Bible study also gives the Summer Camp program a perfect opportunity to present the Gospel to unsaved campers.

The SGBA Bible and Family Conferences have given the families of our local churches a happy experience of fellowship and fun. Affording all the opportunity to hear the Word of God expounded by outstanding pastors and preachers from various regions of the United States of America and Canada and various countries around the world. In pursuit of our goal for increased fellowship among the members of our churches, a series of Leadership Seminars for our men was scheduled. These seminars have included intense training sessions covering duties, leadership, spiritual maturity and growth and have been precious times of prayer and fellowship.

For some years now, women from the churches have met for a Friday evening and Saturday retreat. This Ladies Retreat is an annual spring event and has contributed much to the enthusiasm and life of the Association.

Our Mission Committee is another venture that has blessed our churches. This Missionary effort is made possible only by having such an Association of churches. The sending forth of Vijay and Narsamma Chandra to the Fiji Islands through the cooperative efforts of our Association churches has expanded our vision for global ministry. Thornwood Baptist Church in Ada, Michigan is their home church from which they were sent out and to which they are directly responsible, however, their missionary support comes largely from other churches in the Sovereign Grace Baptist Association of Churches who share the vision of their ministry.

Over the years we have held a variety of activities for the Young People of our churches. Cooperating in such things as seasonal retreats, both summer and winter, hayrides, Bible quizzes, and various overnighters held at one of the Association churches. We hope to increase and expand this vital area of ministry in the future.
