The Will of James Cole 1748 of Cole Hill in Wimborne Minster, Dorset.

1	18 March 1748
2	James Cole his Will
3	Proved the 29th Decr. 1749

1	The last will and testament of me James Cole of
2	Colehill in the Parish of Wimborne Minster in the county of Dorset
3	being in good health of Body and of sound and disposing mind
4	memory and understanding, thanks be given to Almighty God
5	for the same, and intending shortly to sail to Newfoundland
6	and not knowing how it may please God to deal with me in my
7	intended voyage to Newfoundland aforesaid doe therefore
8	make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner
9	following that is to say
10	First I recommend my soul to God hoping to receive full pardon of
11	all my sins, and my Body I commit to the Earth or Sea, as it shall
12	please God to direct, and as to such worldly Estate and Effects as God hath
13	blessed me withall, I give and dispose therefore as follows
14	I will and direct that all such debts as I shall owe at my decease be fully
15	paid and discharged
16	Also I give unto my wife Mary, who is the daughter of John Forrest of Colehill
17	aforesaid Labourer, One shilling and no more
18	All the rest and residue of all the Goods Chattels and personal estate and
19	effects whatsoever that I shall dye possessed of or interested in, I give devise
20	and bequeath unto my three daughters (to wit) Ann the now wife of Henry
21	Buttler Martha the now wife of Christopher Curtis and Mary the now wife of
22	Ambrose Harvey equally to be divided between them part and share alike
23	And I do hereby make declare nominate and appoint them my said
24	three daughters, sole joint and full Executrixes and residuary legatees of
25	this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said
26	James Cole the Testator have to this my last Will and Tetsament sett my
27	hand and seal the eighteenth day of March in the year of our Lord One
28	thousand seven hundred and forty eight.

31	his last Will and Testament in the presence
