My Mother's maiden name was Stein. Her father, William Reuven Stein, was a presser for Hart-Schafner & Marx. When he became too ill from the factory environment he became a peddler. He married my grandmother, Bertha Schwartz, on January 30, 1905. My mother was born the next year.
