This photo was taken in Bucharest, Romania, probably in 1920. This is almost the entire group of friends and relatives that left Belaya-Tserkov during the Russian Civil War. I have numbered the persons I am able to identify in this photograph to make it easier for me and you. 1) my grandmother Goldie Ravitz Yvri (Yvri was changed to Avery after arrival in Tulsa). 2) My great grandmother Frieda Stomachin (Stumacher) Ravitz. 3) My grandfather and namesake Abraham Yvri (Avery). 4) My father Jacob Yvri (Avery). 5) My father's sister Estelle Yvri (Avery). 6) My father's youngest brother Nathan Yvri (Avery). 7)-far right top-The third son of the family, Louie Yvri (Avery). 8) My grandmother Goldie's maid. 9)-far left-A friend of the family, Cyrus Sokol. I wish to acknowledge my New York cousin, Elizabeth Holtzman, for this photograph. It can be found in
her recently published book: "Who Said It Would Be Easy?"
