Use the proper tools when you work inside the system -- a Philips screwdriver and a flat blade screwdriver -- no butter knives or fingernails.
Remember where you unplugged a cable or power cord, and plug them back in when you are done! Yes, some people do forget to plug the power cord back in and then are puzzled because the system has no power. *s*
If necessary, reconfigure your system (again, read the hardware manual).
Ground yourself against static; damage like that to the system can be costly.
Record your system information (i.e., from your CMOS and from Device Manager in Win95). The manual has information on what your CMOS is and how to access it.
Move gently, don't be a complete klutz; brute force isn't necessary.
If you don't feel competent in doing it on your own, call tech support for help or take it in to a computer repair shop. Better safe than sorry.....*s*
