Taunting it mesmerizes with tender
memories. Bestowing ascension to hope.
Belief of promise, haven from despair.

A heart basks in the serenity
of the illusion. Truth is a vengeful
enemy. It is cruel, it will not be
denied.

As the night fades the wind resides.
The dawn of truth ascends a soul.
love is an elusive mirage. Still a
heart abides in the shadow of promise.
